Solar String Voltage Calculator (Cold Temp)
Find the highest open circuit voltage a string will hit on the coldest morning, and how many modules fit under the inverter or system limit.
Estimate only. Use the module datasheet and the design temperature for your site. Final string sizing must follow the current code book (NEC 690.7) and your AHJ.

How the math works
Cold Voc = Voc x (1 + (low temp C - 25) x coefficient% / 100)
Max modules = max voltage / cold Voc, rounded down
Example: 49.5 V, -0.27%/C, -15 C: 49.5 x (1 + (-40 x -0.0027)) = 54.85 VFree weekly email
